Former Known Issues Resolved

  • [Resolved in 3.4] When Jetpack by WordPress.com is enabled, pressing ‘Save Changes’ at Settings/General (/wp-admin/options-general.php) page, causes fields “Site Title” and “Tagline” to be emptied, if they had multilingual values. It only happens when Jetpack is connected to WordPress. For now, when you need to edit those values, deactivate Jetpack, make your edits, then re-activate JetPack again. Fortunately, that general setting page need not to be changed frequently. [WP topic]
  • [Resolved in 3.4] Title field is overlaid with the prompt “Enter title here”, after switching the language from another language with empty value of title. Watch Video reported by user fotkin.
  • Incompatibility with WPBakery Visual Composer is resolved with a new integrating plugin WPBakery Visual Composer & qTranslate-X, [GitHub].
  • [Resolved in 3.3] There are reports about conflict with JetPack galleries. Workaround exists: WP topic.
  • [Resolved in 3.3] Modifications done to a default wordpress media gallery in ‘/wp-admin/post.php?post=xxx&action=edit’ are not saved on press of “Update” button, unless the main editor was re-focused again with the text cursor. [WP Topic]
  • [Resolved in 3.3] Language Switching Buttons sometimes do not change content in TinyMCE fields in IE. [WP topic]  [WP topic] [GitHub Issue]
  • [Resolved in 3.3] After the initial activation, three languages are configure de, en, zh, and admin language is switched to English. There is no way to switch back to other language, until one enables that language via qTranslate-X configuration page. It should keep currently chosen language to be the default under qTranslate-X on the first installation.
  • [Resolved by new plugin “WooCommerce & qTranslate-X” for “WooCommerce – excelling eCommerce“] Turn on option “Compatibility Functions”, if you use WooCommerce framework plugins, like IM8 qTranslate WooCommerce, qTranslate support for WooCommerce, WooCommerce-qTML, for example.
  • Revolution Slider is now compatible with qTranslate-X. Turn on option “Compatibility Functions”.
  • Editing of menu item description does not work properly on page `/wp-admin/nav-menus.php`.
  • Sometimes after a new plugin update is released, the language switching buttons disappear on the first editor page load. Refresh the page to bring them back. Apparently, it has something to do with browser caching mechanism.
  • Widget ‘qTranslate Language Chooser’, page `/wp-admin/widgets.php`: after saving its options, the content of ‘Widget CSS’ text area gets displayed outside of the text area. However, all options are saved ok, as a workaround, you need to refresh the whole page before doing the next editing action.
